New shopping centre project in Schengen

Ikogest and Luxembourg Capital will join forces to develop a new shopping centre in Remerschen. Their first project in common, occupying 7,000m², will house a supermarket, a restaurant with a terrace and some twenty boutiques.

Located opposite the Schengen exit of the A13 motorway, the centre enjoys a strategic position on its 3 sides, highly visible and accessible all the way along the N10/CR152.

Ikogest took part in the development of Chaplin’s World in Switzerland

It was in the village of Corsier-sur-Vevey, in the Swiss Riviera, that international star Charlie Chaplin spent the last years of his life, surrounded by his family. In Spring 2016, a museum dedicated to his work and his extraordinary destiny will open in his home, the Manoir de Ban.

The project's partners gathered today at the Manoir to reveal the major stages of progress of the works. Ikogest was there, since we had the great honour of collaborating in the development of the project.

Guardian Europe moves into the Atrium Business Park

Guardian is one of the biggest glass and mirror manufacturers in the world. Its European head office will move into the Atrium Business Park in Bertrange at the end of May.

Guardian Industries employs over 18,000 people in more than 25 countries. The Atrium Business Park will host 150 of the group's employees.

One on One has its topping out

24. April 2015

Work is progressing at 1 Route d'Esch! On 24 April, Ikogest and Soludec celebrated the topping out of the One on One office building. This event marks the end of major construction and is traditionally organised to thank the architects, engineers and workers involved in the project.

This was an exceptional topping out ceremony for an equally exceptional building: instead of the traditional concrete structure, One on One features steel framework as this is the only material light enough for creating the building's overhanging and recessed lines.

The façade assembly phase has now started. This amazing glass and stainless steel envelope dreamt up by architect Stefano Moreno will be unveiled in September, when the scaffolding is removed.

One on One will boast 3,000 sqm of highly versatile, comfortable office space, which will be available to lease from late 2015.

Ikogest trusted by Delphi Automotive System

Delphi Automotive Systems, a global giant in automotive parts, and its sister company Delphi International Operations Luxembourg, already based in Bascharage, have chosen the Atrium Business Park for their expansion. In March 2015 they will move into 3,638 sqm of office space.

BREEAM certifications: excellent scores confirmed

The two buildings 10 Charlotte and 1 boulevard Royal have received their as built BREEAM scores. These definitive results surpass the pre-certification marks received during the survey and development phase.

The building at 1 boulevard Royal is certified as Excellent with a mark of 77.78% (75.36% during the design phase) which is the highest mark ever obtained in Luxembourg. 10 Charlotte proved itself with a Very Good certification, gaining a 65.70% mark (62.25% during the design phase).

These certifications are just even more proof, if any was really needed, that Ikogest's engineers have always been committed to the environment, creating buildings at the forefront of durable and sustainable construction.

- 1 boulevard Royal: BREEAM certificate No. 0056-3650 awarded in August 2014.

- 10 Charlotte: BREEAM certificate No. 0052-7119 awarded in May 2014.

First Names Group chooses Atrium Business Park

To set up their Luxembourg office, First Names Group has chosen Atrium Business Park. The company was created in 1988 in the Isle of Man and is already established in Jersey, Guernsey, Cyprus, Switzerland, Ireland, UK, British Virgin Islands, USA, Netherlands, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan. This trust and corporate administration services provider employs more than 600 people all over the world.

First Names Group will move into its 1,005 sqm office space on 23 July for an initial 5 year period.

CCB moves into 1 boulevard Royal

Today it is the turn of China Construction Bank Corporation (CCB) to move into 1 boulevard Royal, the prestigious building that will house its new European head office and where the bank has now completed the fit-out of its offices.

CCB has been active in Luxembourg since last July, having temporarily occupied offices provided by Ikogest at 5 boulevard Royal.

China Construction Bank Corporation is the second largest bank in the world in terms of market capitalisation. Ikogest is proud to count an establishment of this calibre among its tenants. Read the PaperJam article published about this event (French).

My Energy Days Conference

21. March 2014

On Friday 21 March, during a conference series organised for the My Energy Days Expo, Ikogest presented the energy renovation of the 1 Boulevard Royal building to an audience of professionals.

This exemplary renovation is a model of excellence. It has enabled the building to rise from an E energy rating to a B rating and consume 60% less primary energy. This building was the first in the country to receive the BREEAM Excellent**** rating.

1 Boulevard Royal delivered to CCB

17. February 2014

The keys to 1 boulevard Royal have just been handed to the China Construction Bank Corporation (CCB), the new tenant, for an initial term of 12 years. In April the bank, ranked second in the world in terms of market capitalisation, will officially move in after finishing the fit-out of its new premises.

It has taken just over a year to completely renovate the building and raise it to the level of today's highest construction standards. The office surface area has also been increased and now measures 2,700 sqm.

Before its renovation, the building at 1 boulevard Royal housed the private Swiss bank Pictet for over 14 years, from 1998 to 2012.

One on One: construction begins

10. February 2014

The construction of the One on One office building starts this week. Ikogest has just handed over to the general contractor, Soludec.

This building's exceptional architecture is about to be brought to life at 1 Route d'Esch. Its distinctive silhouette is set to swiftly become an architectural benchmark in the country. Located on the corner of Rue des Jardiniers, One on One enjoys exceptional exposure.

No. 10 Charlotte completed and delivered

25. October 2013

Following 21 months of construction, the 10 Charlotte building was delivered to its lessee on 13 September 2013. Clifford Chance, one of the largest corporate law firms in the world, will move its 120 employees into the building in December after completing relevant improvements.

AG Finance funded the building's construction. When construction was completed, the AG group bought the company that owned the building from Ikogest and its development partners. This was one of the best investment transactions this year in Luxembourg City. In fact, "core" buildings like 10 Charlotte are highly valued by the current corporate real estate market. The central location of 10 Charlotte and its size, quality and rental status make it a rare, sought-after asset.

Built at 8-10 Boulevard Grande-Duchesse Charlotte, on the corner with Avenue Monterey, the building boasts nearly 5,000 sqm of upmarket office space. View the article published by Archiduc about this event (French).
